Gladiator, also known as Kallark, is a powerful character in Marvel's X-Men universe, appearing in X-Men '97.

He is the leader of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, an elite group of warriors sworn to protect the Shi'ar throne. Gladiator is renowned for his immense strength, speed, and durability, all derived from his confidence. The less certain he is, the less power he has.

Hailing from the planet Strontia, Kallark was selected as a potential Majestor (ruler) and underwent rigorous training and trials. He proved his loyalty by obeying an order to kill his own parents, proving his unflinching devotion to the Shi'ar Empire.

Gladiator possesses a code of honor and is generally a noble figure, often acting as an ally to the X-Men, although his allegiance ultimately lies with the Shi'ar and their Empress, Lilandra Neramani.
